InterCoast.edu, Fairfield Campus, now offers assistance for veterans and their dependents seeking further education
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Fairfield, CA) The transition from military to civilian life is a huge challenge for many veterans. To help these individuals, InterCoast Colleges Fairfield Campus has received VA approval, which means veterans and their dependents can now receive education assistance as they work to achieve their civilian career training goals.
“At InterCoast College, our dedicated staff and faculty are committed to assisting our students through the process of obtaining the military educational benefits they are entitled to if they qualify,” stated InterCoast spokesperson Linelle Paclibare. “The programs we currently offer include an AAS degree in substance use disorder, alcohol and drug counseling studies, an electrical training program, HVAC technician training and a certificate program in medical assistant. Each one is designed to provide students with the practical skills they need to be successful when they enter the workforce.”
InterCoast Colleges Fairfield Campus is hosting a Veterans Appreciation and open house community event on June 21 from 5:00 to 7:30 to celebrate those who have served and to provide educational services and assistance to past and present military members and their families. During the event, there will also be a ribbon-cutting ceremony and an open house event. Everyone is invited to come out and celebrate as well as meet faculty and see first hand the projects students have completed in their labs.
“There are several reasons that veterans are choosing InterCoast,” continued Paclibare. “Here, we offer a family-like environment, and students enjoy the open communication with faculty and administration. Our students take pride in their work, and our faculty is amazing.”
Students receive the education and the skills necessary to help them develop the technical knowledge and skills needed, along with the development of professional attitudes and behaviors related to work and study habits, self-discipline, interpersonal communication, and confidence. InterCoast offers a learning environment that’s conducive to all students, including veterans and active military members. Classes are available in the mornings and evenings, and students who prefer more flexibility in their schedule can choose to attend online. InterCoast offers financial aid to those who qualify, and job placement assistance after graduation.
InterCoast is committed to building partnerships with employers, students, and graduates. Additional information about Veterans services can be found by visiting InterCoast Colleges Fairfield Campus website.
