Jodi Barber, Prevention Advocate
Jodi is a fulltime Substance Use Disorder prevention advocate. Her volunteer work encompasses everything from helping pass legislation that provides legal protection for people to call 911 if they witness an overdose, to appearing on national television shows to speak about drug abuse prevention. Her most important work is educating our youth and avoiding drug addiction through the short documentary she produced called Overtaken.
Colin Womer, HSW, CATC, Project Coordinator Drug-Free Anaheim
Under Mayor Tom Tait’s City of Kindness initiative, Colin with Social Model Recovery Systems, the City of Anaheim, and the Anaheim Police Department, have sought a collaboration where community members seeking help for addiction can walk into the police station and voluntarily ask for, and receive, treatment.
