Become an Electrician – Program Description

The Electrical Training course is designed to provide related training in the electrical trade that will give students the proper coursework in Safety, Electrical Code, Equipment, Solar Panel set ups and knowledge of the trade.

Instruction includes:

  • Fundamentals of electricity and power distribution;
  • Basic trade mathematics;
  • National electrical code requirements;
  • Commercial, industrial, and residential wiring requirements,
  • Other control theory and fundamentals.

50 WEEKS TO COMPLETE / 900 HOURS

Financial Aid is available to students (if qualified).  InterCoast provides job placement assistance to its graduates.

The goal of this program is to prepare students for employment in any of the related areas of the electrical trade. This electrician school program will provide an overview of electrical occupations, including training and employment options available in the following areas: Safety and OSHA Standards, Electrical wiring, Residential wiring, Commercial and industrial wiring.

We are pleased to announce that InterCoast Colleges is now offering a NEW Hybrid Electrical Training Program!  What a great way to get you started on this new Career!

The Electrical Training Program blends both on-campus and online together so you get the best of both worlds!

Online Electrical Training

  • One day each week, you will attend the Electrical Training Lab on-campus for hands-on instruction, projects, and real-world practice guided by our experienced and qualified faculty.  This day is typically on the weekend, depending on the campus in which you enroll.
  • During the week, you will complete online assignments from the convenience of your home.  You can work on your assignments at any time during the day or evening.
  • Graduate in less than a year!

This is the perfect program for those who are already working in the field and looking to sharpen their skills.  An Electrical Training Card (“ET Card”) will be issued to active students so they can continue to work or begin work while attending school!
