What Does “Leave Early” Mean at InterCoast Colleges?

Leave Early is an attendance term for leaving a class or lab session before the end of that session.

What it means

The catalog defines it this way: “Leave Early” definition: Student leaves class or lab more than 15 minutes before the end of the class or lab on campus.”

“A student is considered tardy for class if he/she arrives later than 15 minutes after the scheduled start of class or if they leave early from class.”

What the catalog says

InterCoast Colleges’ catalog states this under “TARDINESS / EARLY DEPARTURE POLICY” (p. 33).

“Students are expected to be on time for each on campus session of instruction and are expected to attend for the entire session of class.”

On consequences: “Students will be responsible for any course content missed by showing up tardy or leaving early.”
