CPR Certification is a credential awarded for completing training in cardiopulmonary resuscitation, the emergency technique of chest compressions and rescue breathing used when a person’s heartbeat or breathing has stopped. It is commonly issued together with first aid certification, as CPR/First Aid.

CPR certification is issued by organizations such as the American Heart Association and the American Red Cross, each of which publishes its own guidelines for cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

In InterCoast Colleges’ Electrical Training Program, CPR Certification is covered in the course ATP105, Electrical Theory and Ohm’s Law.
The catalog’s certification table lists “CPR” for the Electrical Training Program.
The catalog states: “This course also includes CPR/First Aid training, an introduction to national electrical code and its application to cable systems.”
