The National Electrical Code (NEC) is the standard for the safe installation of electrical wiring and equipment in the United States. InterCoast Colleges’ Electrical Training Program includes national electrical code requirements.

It is published by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), which issues it as NFPA 70.
Which program covers it
In InterCoast Colleges’ HVAC Technician program, the National Electrical Code appears in the courses ATP104 (Intro to Trades, Construction Math, OSHA Safety & NEC), ATP105 (Electrical Theory and Ohm’s Law) and ATP106 (Practical Applications of Electrical Theory).
