Fully Online is a delivery format in which all of a program’s instruction is given over the internet, with no in-person instructional sessions required.
What it means
The catalog’s institutional definition reads: “Online programs where all instruction for the program is delivered 100% online via the internet in either synchronous or asynchronous formats are considered “fully online”.”
“Video conferencing may be offered for tutoring, advising or supplemental group meetings.”
“Fully online courses include consistent levels of interaction with the instructor and their students, as well as between the students and their classmates.”
What the catalog says
InterCoast Colleges’ catalog states this under “ACADEMIC INFORMATION METHOD OF INSTRUCTION” (pp. 25–26).
On internships, the catalog adds: “If an internship or externship is required as part of a fully online program and students are not required to attend any of these sessions on campus, the program meets the definition of fully online.”
