Ohm’s Law is a rule of electrical theory stating that current in a conductor is proportional to voltage and inversely proportional to resistance.
What it covers
It is named after Georg Ohm, the German physicist who described that relationship, and is often written as V = IR.
Voltage is stated in volts, current in amperes and resistance in ohms, and any one of the three can be found from the other two.
