Academic Probation Policy is an institution’s rule for students who fall short of its academic progress standards, setting the terms under which they may continue and regain good standing.
What the catalog says
The catalog states: “Failure to meet Satisfactory Academic Progress will result in the implementation of the Financial Aid Warning.”
If a student is denied financial aid due to failure to meet SAP, a student can appeal by submitting a written request, describing the extenuating circumstances that prevented him/her from meeting SAP standards.
“If a student’s appeal is approved, the student will be given an academic plan and is placed on financial aid probation.”
“The student’s financial aid is reestablished by complying with the institution’s SAP policy standards during the probation period.”
