Course failure is the recording of a failing grade for a course a student does not pass.
What the catalog says
The catalog states: “A grade of F (Failure) or NC (No Credit) is counted as hours attempted but not achieved and has a 0.00 value toward the grade point average (GPA).”
“A student earning an F or NC grade must repeat a non-prerequisite module and/or work satisfactorily in order to graduate.”
On cost: “For non-term programs, a separate fee may be charged for repeating a failed course.”
Where it applies
InterCoast Colleges’ catalog states this under “COURSE FAILURE” (p. 29).
“Trades students (ETP, HVAC) are required to attend lab each week. Students who miss two or more lab sessions in a course (15 or more lab hours) do not meet the course completion requirements and will receive a failing grade for that course.”
