Refrigerant Recovery is the removal of refrigerant from an air-conditioning or refrigeration system into a container so that it can be reused, recycled or disposed of rather than released. It is one of the refrigerant handling procedures carried out when a sealed system is serviced, repaired or taken out of use.

In this course the student will learn the core section of EPA regulation under section 608 of the Clean Air Act, as it relates to refrigerants and refrigerant handling. This course will also provide instruction on leak detection, evacuation, charging, and system cleanup.
The catalog states: “Emphasis is placed on principles of safety practices handling refrigerant.”
