Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy is the name given to a written academic standard that measures progress toward completion by both level of achievement and pace of work.
Standards of this kind are usually expressed in two parts: a qualitative measure, such as a minimum grade average, and a quantitative measure, such as the ratio of work finished to work undertaken.
The term is commonly abbreviated SAP.
