A Tardiness / Early Departure Policy is an attendance rule that defines what counts as arriving late to a scheduled class session or leaving before that session ends.
What the catalog says
“Students are expected to be on time for each on campus session of instruction and are expected to attend for the entire session of class. A student is considered tardy for class if he/she arrives later than 15 minutes after the scheduled start of class or if they leave early from class.”
The catalog gives two definitions: “Tardy” definition: Student arrives more than 15 minutes late to class on campus.”
“Leave Early” definition: Student leaves class or lab more than 15 minutes before the end of the class or lab on campus.”
On the consequence: “Students will be responsible for any course content missed by showing up tardy or leaving early.”
