Homework is work assigned to students to complete outside of class time.
What the catalog says
The catalog states: “The purpose of homework is to reinforce the classroom learning.”
Homework helps the student build on what they have already learned in the classroom and prepares them for the next stage in their learning; it also helps teachers assess the progress of their students.
“Homework activities may vary according to the needs of the various subject areas being studied.”
“While some homework will consist of completing work begun in class and preparing for future lessons, students will also be given work to encapsulate what they have learned…”
“Students are encouraged to seek assistance from their instructors in planning and completing assigned homework and any other coursework.”
